Some people refer to dancehall reggae artist Buju Banton as a prophet, but gay community activist describe him as a prophet of hate. Banton's song "Boom Bye Bye," which is well known for the violence it calls for against gays including the shooting of gay people in the head, pouring acid over them, and setting them on fire is causing concerts featuring artist that spew hateful inflamatory lyrics such as those written by artist Buju Banton and Beenie Man, to be cancelled in major urban cities across the country.
